What is
adventure racing?
Adventure Racing is an extreme sport, a demanding endurance sport where teams compete in mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, climbing and orienteering. The competitions last up to 7 days without interruption.
Adventure Racing places extremely high demands on both the participants’ physical shape, ability to work together and equipment. Most of the competitions are carried out by four-man teams with three men and one woman, where the entire team together performs all elements of the competition course.

Team Orbital (previously Team ARSweden) has been racing since 2002.
“During the years we have always strived to develop and become stronger. We have developed our skills in the different disciplines, we have developed our team and the ability to work together for maximum performance. We know each other’s strengths and weaknesses, and how to help and motivate each through often epic adventure races” – says team’s captain Björn Rydvall.
Team Orbital competes both in Sweden and abroad. Best achievements are 2nd place on the World Champs (ARWC) 2011, 2015, 2017 and 2018; 3rd places on the World Champs 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2012.
